Teens with Faith!

Hi there to all of my awesome readers!   Yesterday was Christmas day and how exciting it was right? Well, what I want to talk about today is that sometimes during the holiday season we get so caught up in what we're doing (Be it holiday shopping, planning, anxiously waiting to open presents...) that, we forget the real REASON for the SEASON. Let's freeze everything for a minute now, and take a few moments to think. I want to tell all of you what the greatest Christmas present is in this holiday season. The fact that OUR Savior came down to earth as a tiny little helpless baby to die on a cross many years later to save US from OUR sins. Now, as for me and I think as for you guys too, that's the greatest gift anyone could ever give. That's when we change focus, when we realize that what we thought was important was actually keeping us from seeing the big picture, the Christ in CHRISTmas.  Sometimes (or very often) we find ourselves listening to a friend, who heard from another friend, that "saw" your best friend speaking rumors about you. Our first reaction might be, "I can't believe I ever trusted him/her!" Now, HOLD the phone! How do we know if this is true? See, most of the time, we don't even bother figuring out if it is true or not. We just think "Oh well, if people are talking about it so much, then it must surely be true." Sadly, that is how trusts get broken and friendships are ended. But, what if we took another course of action? Let's give that friend a chance, surely there must be a reason behind all this! Maybe everyone has been wrong. That is where our little verse, Proverbs 25:8 comes in. "...If you take your neighbor to court, do not betray another's confidence."
