Just Keep On Walking

Being a Christian is somewhat like walking in a single-file line. You've got a person in front of you and a person behind you. Now, it isn't a race, if you try to look like you're the finest-walking person in the line you just might trip over a rock called pride. But the thing is, you have to keep walking here's why:
1: If you stop the person behind you might also stop as well causing a whole lot of ruckus amongst the rest of the people in the line.
2: The only way you can keep going is just walking. If you stop walking you have to get out of the line or you're going to hinder the rest of the people (Not to mention yourself)

Don't stop walking! Sometimes the way might seem rough but here's what awaits you in the finish line:

Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to eat from the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.
Revelation 2:7

Wouldn't it be great to have eternal life in heaven being next to God for all of eternity? You WILL get there if you keep going in the race!

Don't be a quitter! Along the race you might find people on the sidelines don't stare at them, yank them into the line too! Grab as many people as you can and put them in the line! Eternal life with God is something we want to share with whoever is near! Most of the time we think that our first missions are evangelizing to people in other countries, leaving our house or other stuff but our real mission field starts at home.

Before we can leave and evangelize to others we have to make sure that our own mission field is in order because if we can't talk to the people who are close to us about the Lord Jesus, how will we go out there and evangelize to the rest of the world? It just doesn't add up does it?

Another thing to consider about being in the single file line that is our walk with God is that most of the time we have someone behind us who is looking up to what we do, might it be a sibling, a friend, or a new Christian, are your footsteps leading up into God's path or are they leading into a minefield? No one ever said that our walk with God was going to be easy, but it sure has its perks.

But the best perk of all is the fact that we're not going to perish if we believe in God's Son Jesus. Whatever happens, don't take your eyes off the prize! Keep on going, don't give up and whatever you need go to a parent, your pastor, or youth leader and ask for help. Remember to read your Bible and pray because those are your tools. Sharpen your sword and get ready for the battle and Jesus will give you the victory.
