The Things Unseen
Recently in the country where I live there was a terrible power outage. The central electrical system that supplied light to basically everyone caught on fire and more than half of the population didn't have light in their homes. Shortly afterward, the water started to become filthy and well, when things of this sort happen we realize just how much we overlook things.
Thankfully, my family's house had a generator and we were able to have light and use the our stove (which had runs on gas, not electricity) but that's not really the point. See, it was very hot and I mean really, really hot. Since we're using a generator and almost no one has electricity we couldn't expect the WiFi service to be working either.
Long story short, the power came back late the following day. I know other people have undergone worser things than this for longer periods of time but I personally felt the need to bring this into the post I have for all of you guys today.
Most of the time we tend to overlook things or take them for granted. Simple things we just believe will always be there for us (ex. Our family, Electricity, A/C, WiFi, our Salvation, the blessing to serve Christ in our youth, and others just to name a few) But life isn't that way and one day we may find ourselves feeling ashamed that we ever took those things for granted.
I've heard of a lot of people who live their lives doing whatever they want and then saying they'll repent and 'It's all good' Newsflash: It ain't all good. What if the Lord came back for us at that very moment? What if you die suddenly of a heart attack before you can make things 'All good' again? Sure this is jumping to the extremes but it still could happen.
Okay so now we've read this thought about our lives and gotten ourselves thinking. (Uh-oh, we're thinking!) What amount of time do we really even spend thanking God for the blessings we have? Even the blessings in disguise! Spend some time in God's word in the following week and think about the wonderful things that God has done for you.
Let's try to notice the things that we take for granted from now on they might not always be there.

Psalm 34:1-8
34 I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
2 My soul shall make her boast in the Lord: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.
3 O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together.
4 I sought the Lord, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.
5 They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.
6 This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.
7 The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.
8 O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.
